This is hard to write. The last couple weeks has been pure hell on earth. My son is terribly upset and concerned for me. He has convinced me there needs to be time away. Husband is actually ok with it since I will be traveling with the boys, I guess a form of control in his mind. The boys have had a trip planned for months including taking along his friends mother so this is all well thought out and planned.

Therefore my son and I, his best friend and that mom are going on an adventure. A road trip adventure. We will be leaving early on the 19th and returning about Oct 15th. We all have agreed to 'no screens'. There will be two cell phones only for emergency use only. The boys will have those. The boys thought this up to absolutely stop him from contacting me.

Hubby has been getting more abusive and has begun to raise his hand. I honestly believe it is a threat only but I need time to have some 'thinking time'. I am devastated but this ''time out'' seems to be the only sane solution. HUGS to all of you and especially dearest Neal.
