Hanz Fritzgard, the number one ranked golf cart jouster in the world has been knocked off in the round of 16 by up and coming new comer Peter Hightip, who scored the winning blow in sudden death joust! Managing to tip Fritzgard off his cart with a magnificent strike to the shoulder with his stainless 8 Iron.
The joust had gone its full length, with both men scoring 5 points in 10 passes, including an epic final pass which saw both jousters getting un-seated and both smashing their Drivers in their bid to win without sudden death!
Their was slight controversy as in the 7th pass, Hightip's 4 wood seemed to strike up into Fritzgard's neck and jaw area, knocking him in a somersault off the back of his cart. After an intense 39.3 second review by the judges, it was decided the strike was legal and the joust would be tied at 4.
This is Fritzgard's first loss in 6 years and has sent shockwaves thru the golf jousting ranks. Now, the World Cart title is up for grabs and the next few rounds just be dynamite!!
