Never be so self absorbed as to not find fault in yourself . That is half way to correcting it .
Awkward how? I can be socially awkward sometimes. Even online. Lol. Feel sonsilly sometimes.

When I like someone and it seems they may like me too i get all excited and always find a way to ruin it somehow. I forget how to be normal and end up scaring them away
I haven't been single in a long time. But I remember being similar to that as well.
But that excited IS the normal you. Eventually, you will find someone who gets excited because YOU are excited. Then you two will happily ruin everything together.
