The today's massive Quidditch match between Empire State QC and their hated rivals, Pro Quidditch Boston (PQB) had serious playoff implications as both clubs are currently fighting for a wild card spot. Both clubs trail Mountain Rim United by 1 game in the A Class standings.
The game started off with literal fireworks as the home club Empire State's entrance pyrotechnics was...."interrupted" by a flashy display of PQB pride as some of the younger PQB fan's used their wands to curve the multi-color streamer into, well, something we can not say or show on air. This lead to a lively skirmish between the two fan groups with a flurry of curses and counters streaking the air. Lucky, security got a cap on things before it got two out of hand. At last reports 2 fans received minor burns from a flame tongue curse gone wrong, 2 suffered minor paralysis, and 1 was turned into a newt. Search parties are still on the scene for that one.
Upon the start of the match, an enraged and motivated Empire State club jumped out to a quick 30-0 lead, lead by their star Chaser Deeds Heindricks and well placed Bludger hits, knocking PBQ players either out of the way or off their sticks completely. Things started to settle in afterwards as both clubs starting trading goals and 30 minutes into the match, we stood at a score of 50-20.
At the 42 minute mark PBQ seeker Kaira Swiftly will almost have the snitch, when all over a sudden the storm of dick pics that had been threatening to break for hours causes reduced visibility and extra maneuvering as players on both clubs seeked to avoid the storm of dick pics which threatened at times to knock players off brooms and cause beaters to miss their Bludger hits, which did cause a nasty knock to the head of Empire States Adam Smithless, causing him to leave the match.
Finally, after a 2 hour and 23 minute dick pic hindered match, Swiftly finally managed to snag the snitch, ending the match and giving PBQ a hard fought 210-100 win over Empire State.
The Empire State coach would later vent frustrations on the match continuing to be played despite the heavy chance of dick pics falling in to the area.
