I love Thomas Paine and he STILL scares the shit out of Politicians even today .

I had gotten into Common Sense just now, and it's noteworthy how Paine wrote a 49 page book about his controversial views of religion. Somehow it lead to his temporary exile from the US, until some years later he came back, by the amicable request of Thomas Jefferson.
