It was Senior Year of High School. My parents had spent a good portion of money to get me a really nice prom dress, get my hair done, and even new jewelry. I was expected to be Prom Queen and enjoy a nice night with my date, a boy I used to like back then, but he's an ex for a reason.

My parents dropped me off at the prom location and its there where I saw my current date with his hands and mouth all over another girl. Me, dressed in my new dress and stunning, left the prom after my parents had driven out of sight to the video arcade which was just down the street. I stayed there until a few moments before the prom ended where my best friend, who had won prom queen, gave me the tiara so that I could show off to my parents who didn't know I didn't actually go to prom because I was drowning my sorrows in video games.

To this day, they still question why I let video games be so much of my life because they still view their little Princess as this amazing Prom Queen who was loved by everyone.

Video games are a great way to escape reality. At least the old school games are lol

All I can say is some guys don't know how much they could be missing out on. I bet you looked amazing in your prom dress and I can't believe your date could be such an ass.
