I like to zoom in on my subjects to see them from a different perspective or to give them a completely different look. Can you tell right away that it's from a stained-glass window?
The Saint-Germain de La Châtre Church is a French Catholic church. It is located in the commune of La Châtre, in the Indre department, in the Centre-Val de Loire region. The church is ancient. It certainly existed, in another form, at the end of the 11th century. The most remarkable about this church to me, are the stained glass windows, which were made by father and son between 1859-1880.

I like artsy pics and I don't mind lying on the ground or being embarrassed if it makes my image more interesting. This is from the inside of a building in Budapest.
That's so interesting! Looks sort of like a recording sound booth, but much prettier.
Ichneumon wasp on my milk carton this morning. Not sure how it got there. They're parasitic - lay their eggs in another insect so the larvae can extract nutrients from their host. My milk remains intact.
Sunrise over Lake Superior. Taken almost 5 years ago during a backcountry trip in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. I wanted to get an early start on trail this morning so I woke while it was still dark to break camp. But once the sun started coming up and I saw how calm the lake was and how beautiful the sky was…I sat there for 30 or 40 mins watching the sky change colors. I was also rewarded that morning by seeing a moose, two bald eagles, some loons, and a black bear scurrying into the woods.
