This was a 8 day backcountry backpacking trip through the Superstition Wilderness in Arizona. Beautiful desert landscape. The scorpion pictured I found in my shoe one morning. This is why we always shake out our boots before putting them on LOL!!!

Going way back now, about 12 years ago to Mt Rainier in Washington. The mountain is still an active volcano. I went as high as the glacier, about 12,000 feet, after starting in a temperate rainforest of western cedar and Douglas fir. One of the perks of my career as I was in Seattle working for a month. I took a long weekend, drove 2 hrs to Mt Rainier National Park and spent 3 days exploring this beautiful place.

Not a great picture uploaded, but the original was perfect.

Walked up there once, you can apparently see Walse and parts of Dorset on a clear day.
