Today marks the anniversary of the Normandy landings.

Today is 82 years ago that D-Day started on 6th of June 1944 at 6am.

82 years later very few veterans remain, thank you for helping to saving Europe.

I know i'm a little late but, respect to all the troops who served past and present. I may not be in service but my twin brother is in the army, and since i work at a nursing home many of the residents there are also veterans, with two (that i know of) being 102 years old and both serving in the army during ww2. I do not believe they were a part of D-Day though, one doesn't like to talk about his time at war and the other was in Egypt from 1943-1945.
