A poem of solitude

  1. When everyone sleeps, My soul peeps
I miss things, by bounds and leaps
And follows me, my solitude, to the deep
And I have only my lone self to keep

The few I crave, The few that are a fave
Their absence, looks like my grave
To a still world, I usher my hands to wave
This still, silence, is left for me to save

Out there's a world, that wants you to be cool
If you don't assert yourself, you're known as a fool
At others' greatness, you come to drool
And your own uniqueness, you deem a failed tool

Let it be known, that you are so fine
Just there at the wrong place, at the wrong time
A stitch in your soul saves a million and nine
Accept that "what's me is all that's mine."

I know feeling left out does hurt
And I know why you kick that dirt
Just know there's some meaning in your birth
And you're an important cog of this huge earth

Every cog is just the same, Just plays a different game
At different time zones and phases, luxuries do they tame
There's a lot we flaunt, there's a lot we still want
So why let your present state haunt?

Just into great possibilities, let your soul peep
Let your strength of being, into your soul, seep

  5. Thanks Louise for the appreciation. I hope this was worth your valuable time.

Thanks Sun x, I just happened to write this poem in my lowest moments and guess it paid off well. Also, your love and support makes writing this even more worth writing it.

Misha, I'm really happy you could find something relatable in it. Makes me feel I'm not alone, and that in a way, relieves me of my state I seldom find myself into. Thanks for your love x
