I'm not even sure how I stumbled across this but I just wanted to say I think your observations about context are spot on.
I also see a double standard at play here all the time - I have an inner exhibitionist that I let out on occasion - I find it quite the turn-on. And I presume lots of guys find it a turn on to post pics of themselves too, but I see the ridicule that's often heaped upon them when they do so - I always feel bad for them.
