Cold, feeling left out
Emotionally distant
Chooses to hide

Ignored for too long
Supresses inner rage
Which causes her fear

She runs all night long
Fleeing to escapism
Stumbling back to cry

Til she had enough
She wasn't going to give
She'd cried her last tear

She'd wait no longer
She dropped the mask that tortured
And stepped out anew

She was beautiful
She was no longer alone
And gone was her rage

Replaced by pure love
She gave to those who hated
And broke the cycle

For this world she knew
It is cruel and heartbreaking
But kindness shows through

She had found herself
Took her in her gentle arms
Told her "I love you."
