If you can't guess by the name, I am a photographer. I want to try this out and see what others shoot. The idea is to showcase the talent people possess here.

Please post a photo you've taken (no internet pics), and if you have a story you'd like to share, feel free to do so. Additionally, please provide comments (positive feedback and constructive critiques only).

This is one of my favorites. I took this about 13 years ago. I love mechanical objects and transportation, so when I saw this locomotive sitting right next to the road at a crossing, I had to stop. Some things look better as a black-and-white photo. (click to enlarge)

It's a very strong image, I love the contrast between the text on the wagon and the hopeless surroundings. Black-and-white increases this contrast and connects me more easily with the lower frequencies that reside within me. And a story unfolds.
