Post a Photo

I spent several years as the photographer for a tow truck dealership. They did a calendar and this was one of the cover photos I shot. Oddly, it was a clear and sunny day with just a few clouds. This has been one of my favorite shots since the day I took it.

Good marketing photos sell a promise based on emotions. This truck, thanks to its robustness and color, gives you the feeling that you can safely explore the world while delivering supplies along the way. The truck's appearance in the photo contributes to the feeling that you're not primarily doing your job, but rather enjoying your freedom as you rev this beauty. The angle contributes to the experience of freedom because there is no linearity. And so this truck offers you a life where work is a side issue and promises to bring exciting new experiences to your life. You made very good choices while creating this photo!

Seems like the only thing I take pictures of is the moon. I love the moon!

Just south of Omaha, NE, I was meandering around one morning and drove under this bridge. As I was turning around, I saw this scene and had to capture it. I find it interesting how, when caught in the proper manner, even the most mundane things, objects we take for granted, can look like art. Might not appeal to everyone, but I love the shapes and colors.

This photo tells the story of a bridge built by people who didn't just construct a bridge out of steel, concrete, and masonry, but also sought to elevate it to an art form. In my opinion, they succeeded. If you hadn't bothered to go to the point where the photo was taken, this photo would have been much less interesting. A+ for the composition, because you perfectly captured the interplay of lines and placed everything in a subdued light, making the bridge even more impressive.
