I'm still learning all of this myself so I use google lens quite a bit still. But getting more familiar with the butterfly species in particular. One more on the way before I have to head out to meet a friend!I could've snapped that, both of the species are in my garden right now! And thank you for teaching me the species' names in English!
What a great photo! Yes they are seriously quick. The name is very apt! You did well to get any sort of clarity at all, love it xIt took me some time to snap this mega fast butterfly that moves like a humming bird, hence the name Humming-bird Hawk-moth.

Common puffball. The holes and markings make it look like a slightly melancholy face with a lil tear rolling down the cheek

The water is calm and the light is beautiful. It seems like a wonderful place to walk. Are that islands in the distance?I'll try again...![]()
Photo of the sea I took today during a walk with my friend. South coast of Ireland
Its another peninsula, the coastline is very jagged with lots of points and inlets. It was a gorgeous walk, although I was a bit nervous near the sheer drop where I took the photo lolThe water is calm and the light is beautiful. It seems like a wonderful place to walk. It is an impressive building. The columns of the outside portico are monoliths carved from Egyptian granodiorite, a stone similar to granite, which was quarried at Mons Claudianus in Egypt. The hardness of granodiorate (6-7 Mohs scale) makes it impossible to carve such impeckable columns with nothing more than chisles. I know because I have tried myself.![]()
Interior view of the roof of the Pantheon in Rome. Still the largest unsupported domed roof in the world I believe, and it's over 2000 years old.
