Shower Thoughts

Spontaneity and whimsical activity help unsettle the dust of habit clinging to your soul.

I wish I could claim this as my own thought but it’s something I read earlier today. And as it has rattled around my head most of the day the more I agree and in many ways see it’s actually how I’ve been living my life for quite a few years now. When things start settling into routine I have a tendency to blow it up and seek out something new and “non-routine”.

Kids that grew up in the 80's and 90's were cut from a different cloth. Last of the kids to actually play outside, the first to adjust to new technologies, computers/ internet. And most importantly were taught actual work ethics. I congratulate anyone younger that can actually think of the next person even if it takes a little more effort. I realize that this isn't the case for everyone.

Amen!!!! I remember playing outside all day running through the woods, building forts, catching craw dads you name it!! I had a huge group of friends. I like to think I did a good job instilling these same ideals in my kids when they were young. They all would rather be in the sun and not in front of screens.
