Dad, I love you. Most of my life I only knew you from my bad memories. Now you've been dead for almost two years. In the last 18 months of your life, I finally had a father who loved me. I would have loved to have you in my life longer, the man you became, who made me laugh and came up with the strangest ideas. We look alike. So much! Thank you for still coming to visit me, but it's so cold. Remember when I visited you in 1994? I played you this song because it always made me so sad, not having a father. Now I listen to it very differently, but it still makes me cry.
