My advice for you would be to observe and interact more with various people on the topic with other people.

In scriptwriting, you need to let the dialogue come out naturally, so if you try to understand how and why people would choose to interpret sexuality a particular way, you'd be able to relate to your character in a better way and make them more relevant.
