Well, the trees here aren’t the largest maybe 250-275 feet. So assuming a person is 5 and a half feet tall…45 people standing on each others shoulders. :p

Yes he did. A work colleague of mine. We were here conducting a study to tree mortality for the US Forest Service and the State of California following the 2022 wildfires in this area. We will be returning next year to follow up with additional assessments. IMG_2404.jpegIMG_2401.jpegIMG_2399.jpeg
 
But if the fire is done by the nature, then that makes sense.
Yes. We have a similar study going on in Los Angeles at the site of the Palisades fire last December, an urban area. The goal is an attempt to determine tree mortality based on stem “charring” from fire in the hopes of reducing the number of fire damaged trees which would need to be removed unnecessarily.
