Post a Photo

IMG_4041.jpegIMG_4044.jpegIMG_4050.jpegNot the best or clearest photos but I was moving through a marsh when I spotted a bald eagle. I sat down and watched this guy fish for almost 20 minutes in front of me…he finally caught a fish and flew off. I’ve seen plenty of bald eagles while in the backcountry but this was the first time I was ever able to watch one hunt and catch its prey. It was really a cool and memorable thing to see.

I rarely build campfires anymore but someone before me created a fire ring and since this particular night the temps were only about 6 or 7 degrees above freezing I built a fire and watched night fall with a cup of 12 yo scotch from a small flask I brought with me. It was a perfect night!! I even snapped a selfie hahaha…that’s me for those of you who have never seen my full face before.

You're amazing. Such great pics. And a handsome man to go with them!

@Tsuga802 When you told us that you would be away for 8 days, I felt bummed only for a second because you wrote that you would share pics. I find it so special that you were there not just surviving but making yourself at home. Your tent and the way you organized things, show just how much of a home you created for yourself. Sharing pics that lack some sharpness because of the rare species to be seen, is just great! The yellow in the pictures reminds me of one of my favorite painters, Caspar Friedrich David. When I saw you, I could instantly see the beautiful man and soul I met here. Thank you so much for taking me there!!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ohhh my!!! Thank you for such incredibly kind and sincere words. You’ve literally made me blush just now. I think I had told you before that being out in the forest and the natural world is my sanctuary. It’s there that I find myself so much more fully attuned to my soul and the rhythm of the earth…I feel one with everything going on around me like I’m apart of a universe so much bigger than anything else I can imagine and when I walk out of the woods I feel so energized, so balanced…it’s like what you described to me a frequency. All of that comes from the rivers I wade through, the sun on my face, the breeze at my back and the earth I touch with my bare skin!!

Yes, it - your soul's frequency - is radiating from your eyes!! Being one with nature must be one of the things from your soul's bucketlist!!

I really believe that’s true…I just feel it deep down inside. Just as I know you feel the same way. It’s part of who you are. :)

IMG_3630.jpegIMG_3704.jpegIMG_3770.jpegIMG_3978.jpegFinally, just a few random pics from last week. I’ve got dozens more I haven’t even started to go through but I don’t want to monopolize the thread here. Thank you all for the likes and the comments as well as just putting up with the vacation pic slide show haha. I really love taking photos of beautiful places I visit and sharing them with whomever I can. I sincerely appreciate to opportunity to share these here!! ❤️
