U2 - The Joshua tree

What's so interesting about The Joshua Tree was Brian Eno created an atmosphere in the vein of Conny Plank's production. In fact it was a tribute to his friend, shortly before Plank died from cancer in the tail end of 1987.

I actually have the 2011 remaster at home. For me, it borders between Wish You Were Here and Dark Side of the Moon. It's a perfect progressive rock album, that really tested German and British progressive rock to another type of boundary.

It's not exactly industrial, it's not exactly alternative metal, it's a mixture of genres to manipulate your emotions, rather than exploiting them. Thus, there isn't a boring track that made me curious and smile with absolute pleasure from an almighty record.
